As far as I can tell, these little lights can be seen at night. I put my pair on flash, just for a little extra attention I suppose. I also keep them in my pack that I take w/me when I bike ride. 1 of my bikes doesn't have lights on it & I don't usually ride at night because I can no longer see well enough to judge the distance of headlights or taillights headed toward or away from me. But if I do get stuck coming home after dark, I can pop the red one on my seat bar in the back & the white one on my cables in front. I think maybe 2 pair might make me feel safer but I really just need to get lights. But I would still put these on elsewhere on my bike, just to feel a bit safer thru traffic. Do be careful though when putting them on or taking them off. I think if you are not, you could break the plastic; especially in the colder weather :)

Simple to use, simple to mount. Has both a flashing mode, and an always-on mode. Way brighter than I expected. Seems very durable, and I've had no problems yet in some serious downpour rain. Quite happy.

These lights are compact, and safe for NOT breaking easily. The battery lasts over 10 hrs & the replacements I got were $11 for a pack of 50 batteries. The lights are two separate colors: white and red. Red goes on back & white in front. These lights can stay on non stop or blink at two diff speeds. Love these. My boyfriend is a bike messenger for his career and works non stop day & night rain and sun... on his bike & loves the lights too! All Nite Ize products are #1 and the prices can't be beat. I recommend these to everyone I know with a bicycle. Also, frisbees, animal locators, bike wheels, keychains, necklace or dance party fun.
